Sept 2025
Erin received CORE Fellowship to complete her MSc work.

Welcome UGs from outside of Biology Department
Summer 2025
Makayla and Raena join the lab as non-Biology majors! Makayla is a business administration major in charge of purchasing and keeping inventory, as well as networking and negotiating with vendors. Raena is a multimedia major in charge of creating flyers, maintaining and updating the lab website, and assisting with all other graphic needs in the lab.

Marine Science Day

Schrankel Lab returns to the annual Marine Science Day held at SDSU's Coastal Marine Institute and Laboratory to highlight research and provide educational lessons.

MS students Jenna Luc and Tim Haddad participated in Grad Slam, a thesis competition showcasing their research. They were allowed 3 minutes and one PowerPoint slide to present their research.
