Summer 2025
Makayla and Raena join the lab as non-Biology majors! Makayla is a business administration major in charge of purchasing and keeping inventory, as well as networking and negotiating with vendors. Raena is a multimedia major in charge of creating flyers, maintaining and updating the lab website, and assisting with all other graphic design needs in the lab.

First Schrankel Lab Publication

The first ever Schrankel Lab paper is now published! Stoeltje et al 2024. The roles of ABCB1/P-gp drug transporters in regulating gut microbes and inflammation: Insights from animal models, old and new.
This is part of special issue of peer reviewed primary data papers and opinion pieces, guest edited by Dr. Schrankel.

Grad Slam!

MS students Jenna Luc and Tim Haddad participated in Grad Slam, a thesis competition showcasing their research. They were allowed 3 minutes and one PowerPoint slide to present their research.
